Widest tire on a C3
They fit fine on all four corners with offset trailing arms. I think they'd probably fit with a regular trailing arm, if you relocated the e-brake cable.
With a VBP dual-mount setup in back, the spring bolts and the sway bar were very close, but they never rubbed.
This past summer I switched the rear over to Ridetech coil-overs and I'm thinking of going to 295/35R18 rears on 18x10.5" wheels with 6.0" or 6.25" backspacing. Up front I'll probably just stick with a 275, but drop it to 35 series since I plan on doing a bit more autocross this year.

I need to check the clearance between the forward part of the tire and the frame rail. There's plenty of room at the back of the tire, but the frame rail is wider at the front near the trailing arm mount and back to about the centerline of the axle and would be the first part to rub.
I think that decreasing the amount of camber gain will also offer a bit more clearance, and going with a slightly shorter sidewall on the tire will reduce some of the flex and allow me to run it a little closer to the frame.
I'm in the middle of an LS2/6-spd swap right now, but when I get it back on its wheels again, I'll check it out closer.
