I've always parked out in the north forty and away from everyone else.
One day, I returned to my truck and found a car parked directly behind me, blocking me into the spot so I could not back out.
I waited and the guy never came out to his car so I called the local Police.
The officer called a tow truck and when it arrived the car owner came running out to his car to move it.
The officer told the owner to settle up with the tow truck driver, however he did not have the $150.00 cash to pay, so the guy's car was towed and stored.

Did the guy have anything to say about the reason for his a-hole parking?
that sucks big time, i was at the store a week after putting bedsides (typical rusty newer silverado wheel arch rot) and painting my silverado bed and from my mirror i see a cart with a purse cruisin through the lot toward my bedside with a little old ladie chasing after it. and a line of cars infront of me. had to miss me by a inch.couldnt believe it, but dont worry a month after that the bedside kissed a pole and its been downhill ever since.
While in college, I was riding with my best friend in his freshly painted Firebird. We stopped at a large grocery store to get beer, and Bill parked as far away as he could get, out in the parking lot without another car within 100 feet. When we came out of the store, there was some dumb**ck parked next to the Firebird, and of course a nice ding in the door. Bill calmly walked around to the other side of the guy's car and with his boot, caved in the whole side of the guy's door. It's a good thing the guy was still in the store, or it would have been his head.
Same thing happened to me in college. I was in a restaurant with a couple buddies sitting in a booth looking out the window. My car was right there. We watched some dumb a** park next to it and open his door into the side of mine. So... when we went to leave, my one buddy ran his car key down the whole side of the offending car. Made me feel a little better.

OP - Glad Grundy's made it right. It still doens't take the whole sting out of the situation but does relieve it a bit. Can we see some pictures of the damage before and after you get it fixed?
Update... 24 hrs after adjuster was here, Grundy Worldwide called... Estimate approved, Check is on its way..... WHAT A GREAT INSURANCE COMPANY .. ... FYI, no response to my $500 REWARD offer at Oreilys yet .. I hope the ahol gets run over by a train
I once saw some guys in a late 1970s Berlinetta Camaro (this was probably 2001 or so), backing out of their space and front driver's side of Camaro swiped the rear passenger side of car parked next to them, they were laughing so hard, and I said "you hit someone's car and laugh?"
They replied "It's ok, it's not that bad" and drove off.
I tried memorizing the license plate # walked into grocery store and asked for a pen and paper, wrote it down, then wrote "I saw the car that sideswiped your car" put my first name and phone #, and put note under wiper blade.
Never got a call, maybe owner didn't care, oh well.
About cameras, July 2017 I was at Walmart probably 9pm, walking back out to my beater 1994 grand am 4 door, I see some ***** yanking on my driver's side door handles HARD, he was making the car move, it was as if he was having a hissy fit trying to break my handles!
He slipped away and got into his pickup as soon as he saw me walking, I was trying to get it on video, but of course he spotted me before I could get my camera going.
He drove off as I walked up and I snapped several pics of his truck back end hoping to get license plate #.
I went in and saw guy that just helped me on self checkout and told him to call manager, and explained there was someone trying to get into my car, and possibly others.
This was a dumb move for me, should have known better thinking they would care.
I basically got dismissed as Walmart doesn't give a care, as long as it's not them getting ripped off.
The night manager said the camera footage is not to be seen by anyone, and even if I made a police report, the police wouldn't get to see it.
Another assistant manager said "those cameras in parking lot are probably fake, people think they are real"
I got from that he was telling me in code to protect himself, that the cameras are fake.
Who knows?
Even if you have a crappy beater, scum will try getting in to see what you have to steal, the only reason I locked the car was because I had just bought a bag of Starbucks coffee beans at another store and some groceries.
Later I saw the rear driver's door sometimes didn't shut fully, and that was probably why he was yanking handle so hard!

They're there to protect the store, not employees or customers.
Someone bashed the windshield of an employee in the parking garage where I work, security refused to show the video to police. There have been other similar incidents during which security is consistently uncooperative. The rent-a-cops also are there to protect the company, not the employees.
[QUOTE=fishslayer143;1599178730]Stopped by Oreilys Auto yesterday..Parked as far away as possible.. While inside, some ahole backed all the way across the parking lot and drove his Pick Up trailer hitch into the front of my car... then burned rubber out of the lot before anyone could get his License Plate Number... his hitch went all the way thru my bumper and headlight and half way up my hood.. No cameras in Lot.. People suck...[/QUOTE May bad Karma come back to bite them 10 fold.
