WHO IS LARS????????
If you ever feel the need for a vacation "far from the madding crowd" then come to Australia. There are enough Corvettes down here whose owners could benefit from your knowledge. There are two Corvette clubs in Melbourne and one of them has a big factory as a clubroom where you could give a talk. Early this year we had a group from the National Impala Association come over and they had a great time. They can be contacted on http://www.impala.blackhills.com or phone 605 642-5864. There are Corvette Clubs in all the capital cities in Australia and I'm sure that if they knew you were coming, they would make the effort to hear you speak. BTW, we have some pretty good beer down here, and, if you're single, some attractive ladies too. They all look like Elle McPherson, true!!

For those who don't know, I'm a beer-drinking, hardcore musclecar enthusiast. I love fast cars, and I truly enjoy being around the people who share this passion. I've been racing GM cars, doing restoration work, and drinking beer, Martinis and Jack Daniels since the mid '70s, and I can't seem to stop. My idea of a great weekend is playing with a bunch of Vettes in the driveway and talking to fellow enthusiasts. Most of the photos of these tech sessions end up over on the C1 Forum, but here is a link to a typical Sunday afternoon:

I travel a bit on business, and every time I'm out I try to hold a tech session with Forum members. Object of these sessions is to get some of the members together and to share some techniques for tuning and setting up these cars. It's always a complete blast, and it's fun to see all the cars run a little faster by the time we're out of beer.
By the way, the Forum Loaner Carb Program is still going strong. I have a great pool of carbs on loan to the program from Forum members, and the carbs are all logging thousands of frequent flier miles going all over the country on loan to our members.
And for those of you looking for tech articles, I have the following articles available in MS Word format. Simply drop me an e-mail request of you'd like a copy of any of them:

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

The man had a 3 hour layover in Miami (on the way to his family vacation), and offered to do a tech/tune session. I thought my car ran fine------till Lars touched. A recurve kit, a tweak to the carb, and now I KNOW it runs fine.
He is a true class guy, and a credit to our Corvette family

I better not think about publishing anything until we get your carb running right....
How about a Q-Jet and Ignition Tuning Video.... a CorvetteForum Exclusive... this could be awsome.... I better give this some thought.
Unfortunately, I believe the man is insane. No matter how many times we've reminded him of the climatic atvantages of living in Texas (you can drive your C3 all...year...long) he refuses to leave the frozen climes of Colorado and move down here. Crazy Viking.
If you haven't noticed Lars, you are appreciated.
Now get down here!

MWILLET - I'm trying to scam a company trip down to Dallas so we can hold an ultimate Forum Tuning Session in Texas - no joke. If I can pull this off sometime this winter, I'll be posting up a topic folder to get it organized. I don't have to drink Lone Star Light when I'm there, do I...?
