My first post. Thanks to the admins for inviting me. I recently bought a 1975-c3- red exterior with silver interior. My question is ----how do I find out how many 75's had silver interior? And thank you for any response.
Corvette Black Book says 992 silver vinyl cars for 75. Says nothing about silver leather. Unfortunately, GM did not keep numbers on paint/trim combinations so there is no way to know how many red cars got silver interiors.

Guess-ti-mating from the data in the Corvette black book:
About 10% of the total cars produced were either Dark Red or Mille Miglia Red; silver interiors comprised about 10% of those cars (or less). If the interior and exterior color combinations were randomly assigned (which they were not, of course), there would be about a 1% chance [based on total production] of getting either one of the red colors with a silver interior.
Once a Marine always a Marine! So as I alluded.... 4700+ silver exterior, 992 Silver interior. I've been going to cars shows essentially every two weeks for 43 years...
I remember seeing ONE in that amount of time. Silver and Silver. I remember it because ALL my cars are silver! (ish).
I have a 74 that is blue with a silver interior. When I first saw the car I wasn't sure if I liked it, but it grew on me after awhile. I was one of those guys that thought a bad boy muscle car should always have a black interior; and black on black is even better. That's okay, I guess, but there are other color combinations that really look good.
