No. The door locks are actually dc motors.
They face up, and collect crap. Pull them out, move them back and forth while blasting with brake/contact cleaner. Lube with light lube like wd or 3in1.
You will see.
One crapped out completely. The driver's side just needed a little lube.
Take it out on a dark night and pop the hood while running, look for sparks jumping between the wires. I've seen some vehicles that looked like a xmas light show under the hood. Make sure the cap/rotor are all good too.
Did not see any sparks, but I decided to check my wires for connections, resistance, and at the same time remove all the plugs and look for proper gap/ burn patterns: old school.
New plug wires along with new 4 hole grommets. Spent some time studying the manual on wire routing, then several hours routing wires. I used up most of my collection of two, three and four wire separators along with about two dozen zip ties, making sure that each wire is routed as close as possible to the factory and separated from grounds and each other. Wires 3, 5, 4 and 6 get fiberglass fabric insulating sleeves at the plug ends so the above picture doesn't happen again.
Looks like that took care of it. Idle is smooth but a little like it has a little bigger cam then I'm used to. Took a long drive with lots of stop-starts, and easy acceleration is now smooth. Had it up to 115mph this morning on I40.
