Wow that's surprising....I just recently started looking at racing seats ( light weight ) not anything new just looking on Craig's list or fbook market place....Would a manual run of the mill lightweight seat fit in a corvette ? Or do they have to be vehicle specific ?

Yes...Came across a brand new set of cypher seats with brackets guy is looking to unload...I'm sure they will fit just have to measure like you say....

Nah they won't fit....Height is good but the width is too big...Door wouldn't close....Brand new cypher seats with brackets....Its on fbook marketplace....He wanted 300....Check them out maybe if you have another car...
