dynamat...what next

Default dynamat...what next

I have installed dynamat on floorboard...do you put origional deadner on top and then carpet..I don't know what to order next or what to add or leave off...Thanks ...Malcolm

There’s a lot of info out there on deadening panels. But yes, install the jute and carpet on top of the dynamat. The original deadener helps.

Dynamat reflects a bit of heat and helps keep panels from vibrating. People go nuts with the stuff, when strategic placement will get 90-100% of the effect for sound isolation. The jute will help absorb sound waves once they start. Dynamat is supposed to prevent panels from acting like a speaker themselves.
