Triangle Filed it, acetone and then JB weld. Finally sanded. We will see if it holds
Use an ARP bolt kit.....put some moly between the washer and the bolt shoulder....this will keep the washer from trying to spin when you tighten which will try to spread it open. Tighten just snug....do all the others in a pattern and tighten that one last....2-3 steps.

Not that good looking for a bare aluminum intake, IMO. Less that $20 would have netted a simple heli-arc weld job so that the repair could not be seen.
It was still wet, i will try and take another picture. You can't see the repair. 20 dollars seems awful cheap to have anything done, unless you know the person or they are desperate.

Post up your work my friend. Lets see your professional work
What the he!! is that supposed to mean? I would do the same thing I recommended to the OP....have the part heli-arc welded to make it RIGHT.
Are you an "agitator", "instigator" or just a "meddler"? I'm sure the OP can respond without your "assistance".....
The OP prepped the part extremely well: nicely grooved and clean....ready to weld. The JB Weld epoxy will make a "functional" repair and probably last quite a while. But the repair would be hard to miss when looking at the engine, and with that valuable/desirable intake, a proper fix would have been best, IMO.

Guess you should have started your comment with a complement like that "The OP prepped the part extremely well: nicely grooved and clean....ready to weld. The JB Weld epoxy will make a "functional" repair and probably last quite a while. But the repair would be hard to miss when looking at the engine," Then added the part about it being able to be seen.. It may or may not depending on how the valve cover hides it..Merry Christmas

Why are you here?
Okay lets compare numbers on what I am doing here
Ive been here since Oct 2015...just over 5 years..I only have 8721 posts. You have 34,196 posts in just shy of 15 years... almost 6 times as many but our likes are the same....Seems to me that if you were being so helpful and courteous to folks you would be helping with vacuum leaks, electrical problems, posting "how to's" on different things you have fixed or changed in your car, you would have 6 times as many likes as me. You want to go through threads we both started and see who is trying to help out friends here?. Do you want to go through posts and see who actually tries to engage people and add something constructive and see who reads the previous posts then reposts the same info as their own? Do you want to go through our posts an see how many of them are negative towards the threaad starter.... Im willing.
How about you calm down. Stop calling out the guys that try to help out the new guys and you just sit there and think positive thoughts and stop belittling guys that ask a simple question. If you go back to the beginnning of the thread I said the same thing you did about welding the intake and getting it remachined. I just want an ******* about it. If you dont like the JB weld keep it to yourself

I did do alot of reading on this fix. I guess I will see what happens. I was really proud of the way it turned out and wanted to share with the picture. I will always keeps a eye on it and if if needs repaired again anytime soon, I will weld it. I understand the repair should last many years. Thanks for the input and Merry Christmas.
