Why? The stock system transfers the actual light produced by the bulb so that you know the bulb is working. If you wire an led into your F/O lens positions, all you will know is that there is electricity going to that bulb. But if the bulb is bad, you now have an LED bulb which indicates it is working......

It's just that all mine is cut out and it cost so much to replace. These LEDs and wire are much cheaper. The rear fiber harness is 200 bucks and I can't find a front one without the rest of the light harness and that is over $300. So it would be over $500 to get the fiber optics replaced. But the 55 cents a foot option looks promising if I can make it work. I just don't know what options are out there. Will 60ft of that stuff be enough to redo the entire car? I'm tempted to order some but need to know how much. I guess I can get out a tape measure.

At .55 a foot, it can't possibly cost that much to DIY. Did you look at the link I provided? I think the other guy used 40', but even if you bought 60' or more, at .55...really?

But that would nag at me unless I removed every vestige of it and still, it might nag at me.

As I said, I am tempted to do this. Just need to see how much I'll need, see if I have all of the rest of the system and see if I can even do it. I'm going to get some measurements, check all of the lights and do a little experimenting.
