I'm going to purchase a serpentine belt conversion kit for my 72 but haven't quite nailed down what I want. I'm hoping you folks can help me out a little. I have a 72 with a small block and I'm now considering a CVR Racing kit with an 8 rib belt but don't know if it will clear the cross member. The tech that I spoke with assured me it would - but - .....Has anyone installed this kit "All-Inclusive WRAPTOR 8 Track Serpentine System", If so, can you share any helpful details? If you have installed any other serpentine kit I would love to learn what you have used and if you had to modify your car to make it fit. Thankx..
Thanks very much, it is a good thread. I kinda want to do the aftermarket thing but with minimal effort clearancing. Unfortunately, I don't know if it's possible on our cars. Hopefully, someone will chime in with a Front Runner, Concept One, or something about the CVR? Thanks for the link.

Mitch, Just click on reload this page.
I ordered one of the Wraptor kits for my 69. Unfortunately I won't be installing for a couple of years. I just wanted to get before the price increases.
Mr. Bennett, that is exactly what I needed to know, thanks soo much. That is the kit I have chosen and it looks great in your engine bay!! By the way, did you restore the wiring under your hood when you did this conversion, and did you use a factory harmonic balancer or an aftermarket HP balancer? Thanks for the link Mr. Bennett, and thanks to all who have contributed to this thread.
I wonder why that thread didn't show up on my search? I must be doing something wrong.

Mitch,
This is not my corvette. Look at the thread starter and pm him if still a poster.
I just got my kit in about a week ago. Super fast service. I ordered it Wednesday evening and it was delivered Saturday morning. I am adding air so everything will be upgraded including a new 383 from White Performance.

Are you using Vintage Air for airconditioning/heating? May I ask, are you using the under "Under the hood Items" or are you doing the complete Vintage Air system? I sure would like to know if Vintage Air offers everything "under the hood", so that we can still use our factory air fan and ductwork. We can update our fan sure but the major component is under the hood (and in the firewall...lol)...
Mitch,
I am using the complete vintage air system. My car is non air. I had CVF order the kit minus the compressor. I was told that vintage air was back ordered about 4 weeks.
