As part of the restomod of my 73 bb, I’m replacing the windshield wiper motor.
Since I am eliminating as many vacuum and other hoses as possible, I don’t plan to run any windshield washer lines to the wipers and I’m removing the reservoir.
Living where I do, I never use the ones on my daily drivers so why put them on my custom Corvette.
I’m looking for a new wiper motor without the provisions for the washer lines.
Has anyone eliminated their washer lines and replaced their wiper motor with a non washer type?
If so, what motor did you replace the oem type with?
Thanks!

Greg, I just pulled the washer pump off of my 69 motor and bought the 75 and up washer pump cover, the one 73and75 posted above. Perfect! I eliminated all vacuum as well.

I sourced a late 80's BOP (Buick Olds Pontiac) wiper motor for $65 NOS. Clocked correctly for a C3. Smaller - more efficient and a better design than the old bulky motor.
Cardone part number 40-184- the original part number is 22072788 then superseded with 88961292
If you wanna find it in the junkyard you can get one with the board and motor for easily under $50- eBay listings say the motor comes from Buick Century- Olds Cutlass-Pontiac 6000-Chevy Celebrity
Instead of ground switching like the OEM - modding and running +12 through the OEM switch is pretty straight forward.
If no washer is needed- the wiring is further simplified
These motors have the park feature- and 2 out of the three holes line up as far a mounting- just requiring one extra hole.

Lots (some) of people just use the covers from the later motors, they are almost the same but the wires plug into a different spot on the other motors. I show the difference here on this thread https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...post1597666362
Best if you swap the whole motor since you don't have to deal with the wiper door

Back from the dead. What year is your car? Just bought the cardone wiper motor and the bolt holes line up on the 2 inside but not the passengers outside. Not a big deal. I can drill and use a nutsert on the outside passenger side, but the real question is, it appears the wiper motor rotating stud is much further recessed inwards (towards the engine compartment) then the original. Did you have to do any modifications there? Also seems like the motor itself hits the firewall before the lowest bolt can make the motor flush to the firewall. Also so everyone else knows, cardone does not ship the cover plate with the motors so it's an open gear box. The stock cover I have didn't fit but luckily a local guy has one that might work.
