Where's the blue coating?? Those look like the basic rebuilder gaskets? Haven't seen that either...especially with the "good" blue coated gaskets that have been around forever. What part number??
When you say you checked block and head flatness....what did you use? Was a feeler gauge inserted under straightedge? Any clearance?
