Default Brake mod. Hydroboost worth considering?

ordering a power steering line for my 2001 GMC box truck. then I realize my steering lines detour through the master cylinder. would an OE setup like this work in a C3? smaller than vac booster and won't care what you have for a cam... i will post up pics in a few.

Depends on how much you want to spend, several have done it and it works well

Lots of people have done it
You can buy a complete kit or cobble it together from parts

Depends on how much you value a particular brake pedal feel and how much vacuum...

Vacuum SUX......HB is FAR superior.....but the mechanics have to be watched on the install......things like brake pedal input shaft length being the most picky the rest is fairly obvious.......

put an inline splitter from your p/s pump so the HB runs, then return to the power steering tank, same as the steering.....another plumbing thing.....

I'm in the middle of doing a HydroBoost with Rack and Pinion.
1995 Astro/Safari HydroBoost unit with a 1992 Gran Am Rack and Pinion.
I have been following @Mooser "72 Hydroboost Installed (yeah another one)" thread. Thank you Mooser

If you decide to "do it yourself", I have some updated info on where to get the parts and fittings.

Here are a few more threads with good info.
