I installed a Be Cool radiator in my '74 some 25 years ago. I had just rebuilt the engine and increased the horsepower from a stock L-48 to about 375 HP. The OEM set-up could not keep the engine cool. (I use the fan and shroud as original in the car.) The Be Cool solved the overheating issue and I've never had a problem with it.
Most people here seem to recommend a DeWitts radiator. I suspect they are equally good although I have no personal experience. The manufacturers web sites indicate the DeWitts is $110 cheaper than a Be Cool. Even better, DeWitts site is offering a 12% discount with free shipping through the 29th.
Dewitt's it is,thanks everyone for the info. For those that have the Dewitt's was it a direct bolt in with no issues with fitment and any issues with the fan shroud? What model number Dewitt is best?
Just bought one from Mid America for my 78 and it is supposed to be a direct fit but not sure and the origin...
I believe it is US made but you can call them to be sure!!
Price was livable!!

mine was for 79 and was a universal fit zip corvette 399 fit good other than adjusting for universality
details of all here and unfortunately do not see unversal fit for 75 so direct fit should be drop in.
see also sticky thread if you really want opinions.
again your criteria for USA made was mine as well. I noticed although a lot of them look the same their weights varied as well and I assume thickness. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...nt-79-l82.html
I have bought 3 rads off ebay 150bucks or so. They are made very well and work great. But if you think that you have to spend more to get something better good luck.

I tell you what, you get burned on enough cheap Chinese garbage your attitude just might change. I will not buy Chinese crap if I can absolutely avoid it. You have a $150 radiator and you're happy, that's all that matters.

Not sure where they were made but if they are Chinese they make a very good radiator. My friend is a master welder and he was very impressed.

DeWitts Direct fit. No real issues on install except the shroud which i cut in half both top and bottom. I used a two post lift so no real issues! I like mine!
I have just as many US and OEM parts fail as China made so its a crap shoot no mater what. So this is what it comes down to RESEARCH RESEARCH and read reviews and pick the brain of fellow Vet heads For example. I wanted to hang duel exhaust on my Vet. Read reviews on many bolt on system's. None were without complaints on installation or quality or fitment. So I went with Pypes with H pipe street pro mufflers. And course it wasn't without its complaints. I didn't have any unexpected issues. I did it in my garage. With no special tools. It went right in. And looks and sounds Awsome!!!!
.... GOOD LUCK!!!!

Great choice, you won't be disappointed. As for fitment, I bought the DeWitts Direct-Fit and had no install problems at all. Pretty much a simple R & R.
