Thanks Adam. I have a DeWitt's/Spall twin combo on my 400-ish small block, and in the limited use the car has seen since the installation, no heat problems-yet. Haven't driven it much, and the A/C is not installed either. Lots of good info here, I will be referring back for sure.

When my car develops a need for non-DOT approved slicks and 106 octane, I will consider water wetter. Otherwise, a waste of money for street cars.

If you’re going with a greater than 50/50 water to coolant blend, the concern becomes corrosion. You should have added anti corrosive for the extra water quantity; maybe you can buy just an anti corrosive without water wetter but the water wetter products normally include both, so just using water wetter to get both the extra corrosion resistance and an extra bit of cooling capacity seems like a No brainer.

if going with a 50/50 mix, I don’t think any additional anticorrosion additive is needed.
