I happened to visit 'my' engine guy this week. Knowing I used to own a GT-350, he said, "Take a look at this." The engine dropped a valve, bits came out the bottom, but even the holed oilpan will pass the 10' test.
A traumatic experience, and the engine lives again. Yours can, too.
