Sweet ride. Although I am curious about the electronic ignition. 73 was points and condensor. What exactly is the car doing.
The previous owner put the Pertronix kit in it. So that replaced the points and condensor. The cold idle is really rough and it just doesn't have the power I thought it should.
'73 did not come with electronic ignition, so you might want to check into what mod someone has done to the car... most mods are less than desirable... No, the '73 carb is no more or less complicated than the '79.
I may have mis-spoke. It seems to have the Pertronix conversion kit in it.
After my electronic ignition module failed. ( The one that was in the car when I purchased it) I replaced it with a PerTronix module and it littlerly failed in less then 500 miles. I don't have a lot of faith in PerTronix components. You might want to check into that system. Also as far as lack of power a stock 73 isn't exactly a speed demon. An L82 does have a little bit of a cam and might seem a little loupy at idel. Check for spark at all cylinders and maybe a vacuum leak.

That's complete junk. Remove it, practice your hook shot to the garage trash can, and install the stock system with good quality parts. Then set the timing up correctly. The car will run well.
Lars
Lars just rebuilt my carburetor and it runs perfectly right out of the box. He tests the carb on his test engine mule, so it is ready to go and at factory specs. Lars is the best.
