Default Carb problem, Help please

I have been having a constant battle with my carb after rebuilding it. Right now when i start it up, the car seems to run fine for about 5 seconds, then when it idles to 1500 rpm's, gas starts to come out of the air horn. It's the air horn toward the car cabin. If you know how to fix this please help me out. Thanks.

Dunno what kind of carb you have but it sounds like the rear needle and seat are not seating for some reason. You could have a hole in your float and it's filling with fuel and sinking or a piece of debris in your needle/seat assy. Look for clear plastic (saran wrap) type stuff on your needle. Float level too high? Or maybe too high fuel pressure blowing by your needle?

It's a holley 4175. I fixed the problem, it was a piece of gasket from the o-ring lodged on the neddle. Now i seem to have another problem. When i took it for a test drive it ran shakey in the higher rpms and would kill after stopping. Do you know what this could be?
