If you have access to a welder?, on my friend's body off 71, this worked well .. See the loop offset. Agree about the strap to the support.!

I agree, for a simple lift, an engine hoist worked perfectly for me. Nice way you did it!

The shop doing my body and paint work pulls and installs corvette bodies all the time.
They have the perfect set up.
I had everything ready to remove the body, towed it to their shop and they had it off in a few minutes.
When the rolling chassis was ready, I towed it to their shop and they put the body back on.
Easy!
