Usually the switch is on top of the pedal area and the dash doesn’t have to come out it’s kinda tough getting under there I had a hard time navigating the area myself I ended up taking the seat out to get up there

Some guys have used a stool placed outside of the door (on the ground) that supports their back. I agree that removing the seat is necessary, unless you know someone who works in a circus as a contortionist!
