Sorry I didn't realize you were from out of the US. I saw CA and assumed it was California. Maybe you could find a middle man in the US that you and Lars could work with.

No worries. I've now changed it to read Canada. Save on confusion.
Thanks.

I have reached out locally to The Carb Guys Inc. They are in Ontario, Canada (province next door).
I'll send them the carb sometime next week.
They seem to have pretty good reviews, 6-8 week turnaround time. Not very much of a choice at this point, I just hope all goes well and they do the right thing, and I can drive the car with the rebuilt carb for the fall.

My only other choice would be to send the carb to Autoline Products Ltd. but I believe I'll pass on these people. The carb in this thread was a remanufactured unit from them.

Hope dies last. LOL

Are you going to attempt to correct the choke problem yourself?

If I don't need to remove the carb to work on it, yeah. I think I'll give it a try. Can't get any worse than what is presently at hand.

My other carb that came with the car I'll be sending for rebuild.

You do not have to remove the carburetor to fix the choke issue.

Sorry you feel that way - I probably **** on your mechanic, but not on you. Good luck with the project.

Just a bit of frustration and venting, no ill-feelings meant.

And, thanks. I think I'm going to need all the luck I can get.
