1980 Corvette - new purchase
all in all, I think it will work out pretty well. I am able to get the coolant leak fixed, transmission seal repaired, u joints, strut adjustments, and bushings for well less than $2000.
That leaves me with removing the added electrical components from the previous owner, which I'll do myself and at some point fixing the body mounts. In terms of cost, the body mounts are the main variable that I know of right now. I don't know what cost I should expect if I have to fix, for example, five or six of the body mounts. But assuming it's nothing astronomical, I should be OK on the car.
There are a lot of experienced people on this site as you can see , who will not steer you wrong.
I am a big fan of Corvette Paramedics. They do great work and are very personable.
