We finally broken in the engine on my 71 and when I tried to test if headlights open, they don't.
Since everything is hooked up under the bonnet and the headlight switch worked when taken off, I am thinking I hooked the vacuum lines wrong on the headlight switch.
Can someone share some insight and photos of how it should be hooked up?
I was working on a schematics from Willcox but I noticed that there are several out there and that the information is opposing.
I am attaching the photos of how I hooked the lines up.
This drawing is for my 69, but I don't think much changed until 73 when they got rid of the wiper door. It is possible that the hose colors might have changed, but I think the routing would be the same.
When I first looked at this record there was an image attached to Alan's reply. Don't know where it went. Things do disappear on the Forum occasionally.
Follow this simple rule. Vacuum source hose ALWAYS connects to the port closest to the pull **** on headlight switches and over ride switches. Unfortunately there are some vacuum schematics out on the webs that are not correct.

Hello,
This is the same drawing that primo posted.
Note the 't' and short yellow hose. This noted in the photo I posted.
I think this is what makes THIS drawing different from the one that Robertea posted.
I'm sorry I confused things
Regards....
Of course they were reversed.
Of all the diagrams I had printed out the Paragon, Zip, Doc Rebuild & Willcox ones were correct.
And I decided to follow the AIM which is misleading.
Thanks to all for the help.
I hope now everything will work correctly.
