You can put me down under: Engines, EFI, Viper T56 swap, Nitrous, and fabrication... I'm an ex-engine builder with builds ranging from street to NHRA Pro Stock, I've been tuning EFI for about 8 or 9 years (lots of exp. with the original Accel DFI), and I do A LOT of fabrication work. I also own a cryogenic processing business that specializes in the treatment of motorsports applications.

I just hope this won't **** off norval to the point he leaves the forum cause he his one heck of a good help in many domains.... anyway, here is what I could answer questions on:

1978 vette
rebuild 350 engine
frame off resto
Por15 products
Richmond 5spd

Thats pretty much it for now... soon I might be a reference in 5-link suspension but for now I'm trying to stay low so I don't get flamed to hell.

Thank you SuperFast80 but I am not in favor of being part of an expert anything. When someone gets a label sure enough he will let someone down.
I liked the old idea of throwing questions out there and reading all replies. If we field a question and the normal guy doesn't participate in answering what is the purpose to having a discussion group.
In the future are we to field the question then wait for the expert in that area to answer the question?
I don't think so.
I want opinions as much as I want expert advice.
Leave the forum the way it was and let all newcommers participate in posting.
If you are not knowledgeable in any field should you not be allowed to express an opinion?
In the end I always make up my own mind anyway but I like to hear as many different sides as possible.
You will destroying this.
 :iagree:

I'll offer a differing opinion from NH:

I don't see this list as means to avoid posting and discussing topics.
I do see this list as a good reference, when the topic discussion has
exhausted itself - or when someone doesn't get many replies (for many reasons).
Sometimes the time of day will drop your post off the list - or a poorly worded title.
So, here is a list that can be searched for keywords - and offer someone
the avenue to persue a reasonable answer from a somewhat knowledgable
source - in addition to normal posting - or when desparate for an answer.

Let's say you drove to work, and as you exit the vette, your tilt wheel makes
a snapping sound and the wheel is loose. Wouldn't it be nice to sit down at
your desk and solicit a speedy reply from a resident expert ? Maybe you would
have a chance to fix it before driving home.

I never saw this list as a threat to the board.
In fact, a diverse list like htis may start people into thinking: "Now, what can I do next ?"

I haven't added myself as an expert here - since I like to think that I know a
little about everything. My wife calls it a 'know-it-all' - except I'm probably
wrong 20% of the time. :yesnod:
Anyone who has gone through a full body-off resto has this type of
knowledge - so I would be glad to share my slight on all the body off resto
stuff and 'body component exchange'. (70+75)/2=73

I know "a little bit about every category", not enough in one area to be classified as an "Expert", except for sorority girls :D

I do have a degree in Psychology in case some need help!

We have a nice list going.

I'll take Fiberglass body work for 500, Alex. I've been doing that for eons.

I'll also take the POS '77 model year. Been going through everything on mine, and am ready to custom-chop the interior and rear window glass for a perfectly customized look and feel.

Else, I've done everything from powertrain (engine lifters/valves/HOLLEY carbs, less tranny, of course), to SS brakes/parking brakes, to power steering rebuilds.

I work at a Rechroming shop here in Michigan and if anyone has questions concerning that area I can answer most of the questions and if I can not I will make sure to ask the Boss and see what he has to say. I do know that they can not Chrome your wheels! They can polish the aluminum wheels up really nice but not chrome.
Also to let you know I have just purchases some used Headers and Sidepipes for my 1974 Vette and I am rechroming them all on my own. I am not having any of the polishing guys do it for me as I want to learn how to do this without counting on someone else. I have done some shorty Headers for a SB that turned out really nice but the side exhaust headers should be a trip! I am taking pictures to show everyone my experience once its all completed. In the end it probably would have been better to just buy a new set but hey this way I will know that the Chrome on there is GOOD!
Also I have an Uncle that does Electrical work (Batterys, alternators, Starters, ect...) for a living so I may be able to refer some questions to him. (however he is a 1980 Camaro guy and not a Corvette guy but back then the electrics were pretty much the same)
