Looks very good! VB makes a wonderful bolt-in kit. I have been running mine for about 1 1/2 years now and love it.

I have it on my 80 and love it. I can be adjusted on both side. If your thinking about getting it, measure from the top of the wheel well to the ground on both side, so when you put it in you can adjust it to original ride hieght.

Ride height is a simple adjustment. They recommend initial set up leaving 1.5 inches of bolt. After you drive it around the block to settle everything in, you'll end up lowering it to achieve the stock stance of 27". The 8" end bolts in the front are the same part number as the 8" end bolts in the rear. Same adjustment with each side independent.

The spring mounting system has 4 settings that I would describe as:

1) taunt/great
2) hard/what have I done to my car
3) real hard/how could anyone bear this
4) real real hard/track only?

I intially went for the second setting and backed it down to the first. I honestly haven't tried 3 or 4. Setting 2 might be ok on very smooth roads, but was not enjoyable on anything with a ripple.

I really like the system, and it was a lot of fun to install. No regrets here, except that I didn't do the trailing arms or differential "while I was at it." Next winter. :smash:

Gene,

Sorry to leave you hanging. Passenger side looks to be 14 5/8 with driver side at about 14 7/8. Both of these are +/- 1/8th.

Looks good. I am looking at somewhat of the same set up. It looks as though you did the conversion.. straight shot in pic. Did you repace all the control arms as well, or just the spring conversion

How much lower than stock can you lower it? At least 1-2"?

It looks great!! :flag

Timbo--Thanks. I did the full upper and lower A-arm conversion. The car is at stock height according to the assembly manual, which is roughly 27 inches.
