Re: C3 getting bashed on C4 general discussion (eleven79)
I love both models. i even like the early c4's. when i was first looking for a vette, i was looking at both models, but eventually i bought the 81 for the looks. but loved the c4 for it's handling and modernism (if that's a word). i'm now 17 y/o and have had my 81 for two years, and it's been daily driven 7 days a week. i will never part with it, being my first car. since i will be heading to college at the end of this year (in l-ville), i'm definitly not taking my 81(2 scared what might happen to it...theft being the worst). so i've decided to look at c4's once again. i believe an 84-85 would make a great college car...although right now i'm looking to buy a nice '90 with a 96 conversion and greenwood aero pkg. very nice looking car and in no way resembles a firebird  plus owner says it gets high 20's to low 30's mpg  something a c3 just doesn't offer...and being young and 5'11", it doesn't hurt me to climb in and out of these cars (although i'm sure it will catch up to me soon enough :D )

THANK YOU!!! I wasnt bashing C3's in general in the first place. :steering: on
Keep on speaking your mind, I owned a 84 (ok not the best C4) and it was quick and good handling, but I found the styling uninspiring. That doesnt change the fact that a C4 is a damn fine car, just like the C5. If they dont appeal to me, thats fine.
As for somehow the C3 forum being able to hold the high ground in a moral debate about the virtues of one generation to the next - we cant - everynow and again you will see C4 or 5 bashing here, but then again you have to define bashing.
So pay no attention to us  we are just as defensive about our cars as the other generations owners are of theirs.
