Re: WRECKED THE VETTE!!!! (My69)
David remember what I said over the phone! The Vette can be replaced and body parts can't! You made out just fine even though I KNOW it hurts a whole lot. Keep the faith.
If it can be replaced with money it's not worth losing sleep over.
Glad you are not seriously or pemanently hurt. Maybe you would have started getting bored with nothing left to fix. :smash:
When it's all over, you'll be able too look back and make sense of why this happened. You'll eventually be better because of it. Just don't ask me why or how right now, I have no idea.
I'll be honest guys if she's totalled the hobby's over for me. I no longer have the time nor desire to buy another c3 and spend another 3 years of my life restoring it. And the only other option is to get one completely restored and if you guys know me even a 60K Vette I'd still find some new fancy billet "trick" stuff to modify/ personalize it. I have to focus my attention to my family and was bitting at the realization that she would be done this week and she would become a wash/wax only no maintenance car.
P.S. I have an imbound box coming in from Ecklers with a over flow bottle, clutch/ brake pedal chrome covers, and chrome underhood light. Well by Wednesday I'll know whether to return it or if I'll be turning it over to the body shop. Hoping she won't be totaled.
This is unbelievable dude. You have some bad luck as of late with your baby. I am glad you were not seriously hurt. Get a lawyer and sue those bitches. This is just wrong. All of the blood, sweat and tears and MONEY you have spent. Now this. This sucks bigtime. I was stunned reading this post. :( And of course, get well soon. :blueangel:
First off I am glad that you are OK and out of the hospital, also I am glad that your car isnt as damaged as it seemed when you called. I hope you can rebuild her, as I would hate to see you out of the hobby.
That was seriously one of the finest late model C-3's I have ever seen. Just a compliment for the time & effort you put in.
Out of curiousity... did you happen to mention if the other driver had insurance? And if so... has anyone contacted you yet?
as they took the girls away in a ambulance I never got the other driver's info however S.D.P.D records opens up Tuesday morning and I'm going to pick up a copy tommorow. And yes I am going to sue. BIG TIME!! I didn't lose a car, I lost 5 years of my life!!!!! Bought it Mar 98.
I bet those girls start crying to the judge and he feels sorry for them and has them do 20 hrs of community service to make up for destroying a classic car that you have spent 3 years of your life and over $25k on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thats BS!!! :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad

Although I hate the legal system and the crap lawsuits that run rampid in the judicial courts, I do not blame you one bit for pursuing it if you decide to take action against the driver of the car who hit you. Life is all about taking responsibility for actions that are taken and hopefully the other side will make amends with it not going that far.
