I'm going to talk to an attorney tommorow and also want to see a Chiropractor because tonight I bent over to pick up a large pot to cook corn in and my back hurts bad. Time for another Vikadin I think.
I am glad everyone is all right. This suck big time. I worked at PB Shell down at Garnet and Lamont and saw a few accidents down there in the few years I worked there. I hope you get everything back to where it was...
That is BS- you should be able to check out your car.....
And yes I am going to sue. BIG TIME!! I didn't lose a car, I lost 5 years of my life!!!!! Bought it Mar 98.
i was going to mention that. as much as there are totally retarded lawsuits going around, i would not feel bad if i found out that all 4 of those chicks had to give you 10% of their paychecks for the rest of their lives. sorry about you loss and i really hope you dont drop the hobby. i have yet to get my vette from the shop its been at for 2 yrs now, and i could only imagine if i got it tomorrow and lost it the next day.
Your car was incredible. I can't believe a drunk driver took it from you. If I were in your shoes, I would do everything possible to make sure the driver pays for her stupid stupid actions. Man, you put so much work into that car.
Hopefully, the girl's insurance won't look at it as a 26 year old car worth $800. It is good that your insurance has declared value.
man, i seriously feel sick. what a sweet car and awesome job you did getting it there.
i'm glad to hear your not seriously injured but damn, man, what rotten luck.
you know in some cultures, you'd own that *w*itch for life and you could beat her daily for that crap. almost makes you envy third world countries sometimes.
i'm so sorry to hear about this. 'will be waiting to hear how this plays out.
Dave, I'm really happy you weren't hurt to bad. Just be sure to get a full check up to make sure nothing comes back to get you later....
Sorry to see your beautiful vette go bye bye...and you better not go with it.
Start looking for a replacement, in perfect condition, that will help you with your case if you have another one that is as nice as the one you lost...
Price be dammed. find a cherry one, and stick it to them. :mad
Yours was one of the vettes I wanted to see if I ever get to take a trip out to see you SD guys.... :cry
Sorry to here about your Vette. Glad that you are ok. I was telling my dad about your Vette earlier today, the post that showed you spent $26k.
I mentioned that I would have a hard time driving something that I spent
so much on with all of these a holes on the road.
:mad :cuss :seeya
this pisses me off knowing that the girls might get off easy. it seems you have at least three people who will vouch for you having a top condition number 1 car. isnt there a way you could have a few "witnesses" to tell the judge how hard you worked on your baby? i think theres a bit of psychological suffering that needs to be payed for :D
I have a suspicion my bad arthritis was most likely greatly increased from an accident some decades ago....certainly my neck, but not surprised if my feet too, I bent the brake pedal over....long term accident damage causing medical problems in us old pharts is largely unknown field....

Re: WRECKED THE VETTE!!!! (mrvette)
Now that really bites the big one. :U The young guy that hit me had no insurance at all. My uninsured motorist payed me a lump sum. I had the same type policy. They paid real quick and also paid for a few days of missed work and pain and suffering. I think they just wanted to get it over with real quick so I didn`t come up with a whole load of pain and suffering. I never have seen another 79 as nice as mine was(IMO). Hopefully things will turn out in your favor. Sorry to hear about the car, but it sounds like you are ok.
Cali...words can not convey the sympathy..and anger...I feel for you. I know the consolation of your health is no comfort with your car in that state, but do take solice in the fact that it's repairable/replaceable.....your not! So sorry man....
Eddie
Make sure you wring out their ins. co. Make em pay!! Your pain and suffering are worth alot more than money and like mrvette said, no telling how much suffering down the road.
Wow that really sux man........Sure was a nice car I really hope that they are able to fix it so you are able to drive her again. I am sure the law will be on your side on this one. That is a real shame :nonod:
