Stay tuned, guys and gals, Jay will be posting more pics & some video footage of the first drive as soon as he can find the time...

I was visiting and got to follow the semi-final touch ups yesterday, and I have to say how impressed I'm with the car. As you might imagine, it looks even better in person than from the pics. The 20" rims really look  And if it's been a bit long getting the car to the road lately it's just because there has been no shortage of visitors showing up to admire the car and distract Jay from his work :jester

My ears are still ringing from when Jay started up the engine inside the garage  He must have very understanding neighbors :D

Smokehouse69: :lolg: Good one, thanks for the education

79VetteMike: I used to have Pace Car style spoiler on my 79 and I was going to put it back on, but now that I have seen the clean bodylines, there's no way I would put it back on. But like they say it's all matter of taste

69Myway: Chris, I'm :bb here! If you call my car perfect that makes your car SUPER perfect, but I guess you already knew that :D No seriously hearing the words like that from you made me really :bb :bb :bb I was after clean lines and even with the side pipes I think I managed to get them. Did you finish the ROD install yet? Will be coming to Florida next summer, so if you're not busy or you need a hand with the Vette, I'd be more than happy to drop by!

Viken: Thanks brother, unfortunaly your local Wal-Mart don't sell them, it's another custom piece made just for this car.

Big Fish: Thanks, your car turned out just as great! Love that colour!

The Saint: Thanks man

foundvettelifeisgood: Thanks for the kind words, I will propaply take the car for a show or two, but mainly this car was build for Go! :yesnod:

Cookwithvette: Thanks Cook

keith67:  you are the only one who mentioned them, they are super light and super invisible too  Seriously, thanks and the door panels are now on.

OHSIXX: Clad I could help you decide :D

Oldguard 7: Thanks, the wheels are actually 20" American Racing TT IIs all around.

Chris@VetteFinders: Don't be so modest Chris, frame off is always a helluwa project to do, stock parts or not. As for the trade, I think we'll have to see how yours turns out first :D

68427: Thanks man, after seeing 69MyWay's 69 vert for the first time in Black n Chrome I was hooked too!

Tomi72: Thanks Tomi, no but I managed to take it for a quick spin today... :D

Silvr77: Thanks man, the engine has been ready for so long, that I have forgotten all about it :D I have "few" pics of it though, I will post them later.

tagar: Thanks man

SmokedTires: Thanks Mike, it's been long walk, this one. But with the support and encouragement from you guys it's been like a walk in the park! How's that Bad butt mice motor coming along?

FlyingFinn: Thanks Arto, you were a great help yesterday. We are going to have some serious fun next summer with both cars ready to rock!

That is looking fabulous, Jay. You have done some really amazing things to your car. I am (as always) very impressed with your work. You know, you should get some good photos and write up all the info of what you've done and submit it to one of the Corvette magazines. A lot of people would enjoy seeing that awesome machine.

:iagree: I predict a net article series on the project would also be hugely popular.

burners: Thanks man for the kind words, I have already a full documentation about the very first day of the project, I'm currently building a new website for it. It will be very detailed in every way. I'm always willing to share my knowledge with other and I hope it would benefit other vette guys and girls who are thinking about doing a body off restoration.

FlyingFinn: :) We have already agreed to make a feature of it for Spinneri the net article is definately on its way. Talk to you later.

The 20's would have to grow on me. The craftsmanship is very good, any engine pics?

Congrats, it has been a long project.

FinnShark: Thanks FS, I'm coming back in mid December, so that might be a good time to talk more about the article. And if happen to be around at that time, you are most welcome to stop by for a chat.

BlackRat: Thanks man, you are on the finish line already, just have patience and you'll have one of the nicest sharks around!

69 N.O.X. RATT: Thanks man, I try to put some engine pics on my server soon, and link them here. Stay tuned

That is one of the sweetest Vettes I have seen. Those rims look very nice. Not a big fan of non-stock interior but yours is done tastefully. Good job. Must be hard looking at it without driving....
