gotchashawn, if your Steeroids is currently working normally there really is no reason to change to the new style bracket. However, we will sell the individual bracket if you want it.
I haven't been checking the posts for a couple of months, but this looks like a great deal. How do I go about ordering this with the discount? I've got an '82, and I've been drooling over this kit for the past 6 months.
You can order thru their toll free number or off of their website, but you have to do it before the end of business on Friday, November 28th. Just let them know that it is the Corvetteforum group purchase price and give them your forum ID.

You can order on the internet via http://www.speeddirect.com or you can call 877-882-7730 today (Wednesday). Just mention that you are participating in the Corvette Forum Group Purchase and your forum name and you will get the discount. On our web site just type the info into the 'notes' section of the order form. The initial charge on your card will be for the full amount but we will go back and credit your card the discount.
Thanks! I put the order in this morning, and I can't wait to put this in. I have the stock PS pump that originally came with the car and it seems to be working fine. Is there anything specific I should look at after the install that will help me verify that the old pump is working correctly with the Steeroids kit?
Please do NOT take this the wrong way. You obviously sell a quality product, and I only mean to make it even better.
I found your instuctions frustrating and vague. They appear to be written by someone who has installed your product before, and or worked on many front ends before. So far, I have figured every step out, but it definately is not like following a recipe.
Any chance you can give a discount of $100 or $200 to one of the NEW purchasers to help re-write your instuctions? Some things I would say need clarification to start with.
What exactly are we removing? With at LEAST 2 or 3 pictures of where we are removing bolts, nuts etc. It would be easy to add and make it much more understandable to new installers. "rag" joint for example, took me almost an hour to figure out what it was, and it is NOT mentioned in my assembly or chilton manuals.
I know its obvious to YOU, but us newbies need a little more direction.
Where does the gusset mount? A picture is worth 1000 words!!! I saw this one asked on this forum before, and ran into the same problem. Its so easy, I am sure you are like "who couldn't figure it out?" But untill you see it, its another step you scratch your head for a few minutes.
Overall, I would say that you should have a picture for each sentance. Its not to much trouble to add, and you could make the instuctions much easier to understand.
I look forward to completing my install (delayed because I am adding power steering to my car at the same time and need to order some brackets) and enjoying your product.
:withstupid: I'm a professional instructional designer. Instructions is what I do for a living (for some very large corporations everyone's heard of). There are some gaps that could stand to be filled. And lots more photos! (This is "constructive" criticism and should in no way be misconstrued as "bashing.")
72BLUBIU, the GP is over. Sorry you missed it but I'm sure there will be other opportunities.
BigBadOrange and Page62, no offense taken. Response from the end user helps us make our products better. We appreciate the feedback and we'll see what we can do to improve our instructions.
Very nice product. All items appear first rate and well thought out. I need to hide it from the Vette until Xmas :D It's more fun when it's a surprise.
I forgot to mention, mine came a couple of weeks ago, and it looks like a quality product. Has anyone had any issues with replacing the plastic caps for the power steering pump lines with brass ones, seeing as how I'm going to run this as a manual unit. Also, should I fill it with some fluid, even thought it's not going to have a pump hooked up to it?
Steve, there is no need to fill the unit with fluid. It already has some in it from testing. That amount will be sufficient to maintain lubrication of the seals. Also, brass or steel plugs should work fine just be sure they are metric. The large fitting is 18mm and the smaller is 16mm and I believe the thread is 1.5
