Dep....
I think the *points* thing objective is to keep the 100% and still have a little fun along with the technical know-how here. Should a few points be lost in the spirit of it, so be it. The last thing any newbie needs to do is have me hanging around on a Friday afternoon to give him some directions to Hell. I know the place well, so why not be helpful on their journey.

Was spinning the skins up a small hill at 6500rpm, made it to the top and kept driving until it felt like my steering wheel locked, looked at my ammeter and it was discharging :o... Pulled over and my PS and Alt belt were laying on the crossmember in front of the motor...
Picked them up and drove home smiling :D:yesnod:
I am glad I got the adjustable Team-G waterpump and decided to use my AC belt groove in the pulley to run a stand alone belt from crank to waterpump!
Saved my butt today!

At beech bend raceway at the cruise-in this year i lost one of them. Oddly enough, I lost one of them last year there, too. On the way back to the hotel I noticed my water temp gage going VERY HIGH  Seems as though a piece of the first belt was still in there and decided to take the second belt with it. Fortunately I had tools and the second belt was just de-pulley'd and not broken. Picked up a couple spares for the drive home, just in case.
How does the waterpump adjust,,,,,does the pulley slide on the shaft or does the whole pulley and shaft slide in and out?
Just to clarify for someone who may not quite be sure about my belt arrangement I have a 3 rip crank pulley, and a 2 rip water pump pulley. The outermost belt goes to the power steering, the 2nd one in on the crank goes only to the waterpump, and the last belt goes over the waterpump and to the alternator. I think when I go in to get new belts i'll buy spares as well, that jack box will finally hold something USEFUL!
Dumb question, but manual steering can't be as hard to turn as this thing was, can it? It was a real bear. :yesnod:
Titanium Rat You know, I was wondering the same thing before, AND after I bought it. No one at summit could tell me exactly how it "adjusted". Weiand lists a pump just for corvettes, but as "adjustable." When I got it the bolt holes were elongated so the pump could be moved up and down to set tension on the belt. There are threads above and below the bolts that you use small bolts to set the height with. Sorry if i'm not explaining it clearly, I think I may have a picture...ok, just found the photo:

Hope that helps, sure saved my butt today. :yesnod:

Manual steering it pretty darn hard at real low speeds. Definitely needs 2 hands and careful hand placement on the wheel for good leverage :yesnod:
Have you considered runing one to the WP and one to the Alt? Its worked well for me thus far.
