Re: Attidude difference between C2 vs. C3 sections? (THawkbh)
I thought we were all on the same team?
We are. At CI II in the all Corvette drags, a Viper was allowed to participate, and pretty much everyone in the stands pulled for the C2 that raced against it. When that guy walked the Viper, everyone in the stands cheered. I have yet to meet someone who doesn't like C2s.
The guys in that section are just like us, except that there is a smaller ratio of hot rod to restoration guys. They still have plenty of guys who are totally car guys and not snobbish at all. Viet Nam Vett is one of those guys, as are the Colorado crew. Also, there are a few investors (the scourge of the car hobby) who deride anyone who would do anything to modify any car. We're just going to have to tolerate those guys and their opinions.

Re: Attidude difference between C2 vs. C3 sections? (groovyjay)
I find the C3 guys and girls more "forgiving" and supporting here than the folks on the C2 section. Few people on the C2 section seem to lynch what ever your thoughts might be if they are not up to NCRS specs... Is it just me? ..., I've found some people there to be pretty much closed minded. ...
Sounds like a place where Dr. ...(whats his name?) would party. :yesnod: That doc's C3 posts are enough to make me :U . Don't need to look for any more nauseating advice (?) . :leaving:
Re: Attidude difference between C2 vs. C3 sections? (Glensgages)
We should reinstate George to give attitude to the C2 and C5 sections
:leaving:
Remember his post in the C5 section titled "How many of you skip child support payments to pay for your vet"
:skep:
I just skipped the entire " child - thing " entirely...

Just a biased opinion here... best bang for the performance buck out there has to be a ZR-1... Prices are at an all time low... many low milage examples are out there... and even if you buy a high milage ZR-1... the drivetrain is as bullet proof as it gets... LT5, ZF-6, Dana rear... and these cars run good when everything is as it should be... I just took a 400 mile trip in a ZR-1 I sold and got 24.7 mpg... ( 4.10 gears ) so... they can be economical too... They have their problems... like the stereo and other small annoyances... but every car has something... even C-5s...
With a ZR-1 you won't see yourself driving by 15 times a day !!! :D
Just so you everyone knows, Im selling my paid off 2002 C5 with only 5000 miles on it... to buy a C3 b/c Im sick of seeing everyone and their mother driving my same car around...and watching it depreciate (ill buy a used C5 or C6 when they are $15k and my C3 is worth 3 times that :)
