The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

I like it hre best, it's like a large family.
if you ask how to mod your C3 everyone jumps in. If you ask about specific parts that may be needed on your C3 for a "correct" repair hardly anyone will chime in.
It just seems that more response in this forum is centered twords "how much HP do you got?". kind of opposite to the NCRS, and I have noticed that the NCRS gets slammed pretty hard in here. I have alot of respect for those guys with correct restorations. Its a heck of alot harder and more expensive than dropping a rebuilt 350 in and covering the firewall and frame with gloss black paint.
Its kind of like wine. People like it for different reasons. If your drinking a fine wine and someone brings in a box of wine drunk off their **** I doubt you would have much to talk to each other about.
:D :D :D :D :D
that they do not subscribe to these types of thoughts, they still (usually)
exhibit a level of respect for those who do.
Now, if we can get the hardnosed types to show the same respect in return,
we would be a bigger happy family.
Look at what I'm doing ... 70 and 75 makes 73. Most people would think I am
anti-NCRS, but I am a member and I support everything they stand for.
Luckily, we live in a free country, so I travel my own route.
Ignore the jerks, if they can't accept us for what we are ... but still wave to them. :seeya

So, since we're talking about wine.....how about this ???
C1 - 1948 bottle of Lafite-Rothschild $ ???
C2 - 1975 bottle of Chateau Mouton Rothschild $250
C3 - Beer ..... :jester nahhh...more like 2002 Woodbridge (Mondavi) $8
C4 - 1998 bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon by Sterling Vineyards $45
C5 - 1993 Chateaux Margaux $200 a bottle
C6 - 1893 bottle of Chateau de Yquem <sauternes dessert wine> $500 ?
I like it hre best, it's like a large family.
while I'd love to have a C5, I doubt I'd 'fit-in' with the typical C5-owner...
We DO have alarge family here in C3

The C-3 forum has a BIG bunch of people who are into performance and handling. It also has a more of a 'mullet' factor, which is a real put-off for some of the 'sweater-around-the-neck' C-1 and C-2 guys.
The C-1 and C-2 forum tends to be more staid and serious, with an emphasis on restoration and 'correctness.' There are, however, MANY Corvette 'heavy-hitters' over there- and also some of the most respected names in the hobby.
The C-5 guys are mostly into colors, surface finishes and wheels- along with custom exhausts.
The C-6 forum is full of brats.
Some C-3's and C-4's are the cheapest to own right now, so there's the 'exclusive' factor in play on the other forums, too.
Also, there is an opinion among many of the upper-crusty classic and vintage Corvette owners that the C-3 is an "over the top" design, and way too voluptuous for their libido to deal with.
So they relegate it to their basement of taste and desirability.
Never mind that the frame and running gear is IDENTICAL to the C-2!

To each his own.........
:yesnod:
-just my opinion
The C2 group seem to be more serious about what they post, but not necessarily from an NCRS or correctness standpoint.
