Default Rear diff. question.

Is there any difference between sb rear diff. and the bb rear diff. :cheers:

NOPE! ALL the same... I don't believe there were many differences bewteen BB and SB Corvettes. Someone else chime in if I am incorrect :rolleyes:

They are the same. The big blocks and high HP small blocks had caps instead of straps for the ujoints. Other than that they are the same. 65-79 rears are all interchangeable.

I don't think there is any rime or reason on which got the caps. Also the pinion U-joint is bigger. My 75 L-48 with 165hp had the HD caps and bigger driveshaft U-joint.

Why automatics get HD yokes ? Oh well ... just the way it is.

So, the only differnece you will find are in the pinion and side yokes ... (Ujoints).
