I've replaced the crush front with tube tank and crush bars, Not aligned yet but I'm-a-workin on it, gonna "Get-er-Done" eventualy. The car was Found for me at an estate sale, kinda sorry lookin, but running, I traded an Old Motor home for it with an atternys paperwork to prove ownership since the title didn't exhist. I owned it for about 2 months and was working on the title. I had a super bowl party at my house and one of my little known guests was drunk and she grabed the keys of the key holder by the door to take a joy ride. She left the car strewn in a thousand peices along about a mile of road. I'v stored it for 6 years and finaly got a space and the time to restore it. My Daddy taught me any job worth doin is worth doin right. So I'm taking my time.

Looking good!

I've got a question. The lower passanger side rear control arm mount, the one the big bolt bolts on to... On my car it has the same built up weld?

Is this because it has been torn off before? Or is this just how it was done?

i do not know this for fact but i have read that the passenger side lower a-arm welds on the mounts on the 75, 76,77, were especailly poor from the factory, Bubba visited the a-arm with an arc welder and it scared me so i took it to a body shop and they asked me if i wanted it pretty or just safe.... i said safe would be acceptable and this is what i got....I should have paid and extra $40 and let them grind it down... i have been grinding it down....

stay tuned for some photos

20 yrs ago i bought it from JC Whitney, still have the original box and i will post picture of it tonight when i get home from work...its puts no pressure on the boot or tie rod end and since these tie rods are practically brand new i didn't want to pound on them....

Well...

Guess that means one of two things... 1, It ripped and it got welded. Or 2. Somebody welded it up before it ripped?

I am getting one. I recently replaced my ball joints and I just bought a set of 550#'s for the front and I don't want to ruin my grease covers.
