First new vehicle was a Honda 700 Shadow bike.
First and only new car was an '85 Honda CRX Si.
Both purchased at Weymouth Honda (Massachusetts).
The CRX lasted a year ... then all my driving toasted the tranny input bearing.
So much for Japanese sports cars. (it was a fun car).

Never bought new since. Much better deals on 2-3 YO cars.

2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP

Supercharged 3.8 V6

I ran 14.6 @ 96 mph on street tires with only a K&N filter upgrade from stock.

I autocrossed the car in G stock class with the SCCA.

I got rid of it before I left for Iraq in 2003.

I'll never buy new, when you can get a just off the lot version with < 10k for 10k less in price ! (unless I do the museum delivery vette thing!)

My first vehicle thought was a 68 chevy stepside truck I bought in 1990 when I was 13, resotred it, sold it and bought a 76 stingray 13 years later.

There were some other daily drivers purchased b/n the truck and vette.

1968 327 4sp Camaro Convertible purchased at Malcolm Konner Chevrolet, Paramus NJ

Some of my mods were to pull the air pump, replace the tires with a set of "wide ovals", replace the wheels with a set of mags, replace the shifter with a Hurst, and install a Pioneer 8 track tape deck with 4 speakers 2 of which I put in the doors......sweeeet.....I didn't belong to the NCRS at the time.

My first NEW car was the 70 Z28 in my photo album- I still have it. My first car was the 60 Vette also shown in my album. I still have the hood, trunk lid, & various other parts in storage. It was destroyed by a guy who ran a stopsign, T-boned me, & spun me into a pole. If that hadn't happened I'd probably still have it.

Don't believe in buying new. I tried to talk my wife out of it, but she insisted on buying that 1996 Dodge Avenger with 4 miles on the odometer from Greve Chrysler in Van Wert, OH. We (she, I always disliked it) still drive it. She says "I'll never buy new again". That's my girl!

Newest I've ever had was two years old with 26K on the clock. Suits me JUUST fine. Let somebody else take the initial hit...

First NEW car: 93 Pontiac Grand Am GT. It had a Quad 4 with a 5-speed and actually was pretty quick back then.

First car EVER: 77 Pontiac Firebird 400. It was ugly but it was fast.
