Mine 90 is still stock except maybe for the windshield wipers and the tires. I like factory originals. But I still find wheels tempting like Lars and Mojo's. Not a spoke fan at all. Just my taste.

post pics, please I am looking for new wheels, and can't decide, I'm looking at torque thrust II's or something a little different. I'm looking for an alternative to ZR1 5 spokes. Don't get me wrong I like the look of the 5 spokes but just looking for other options.

Nothing wrong with keeping the car stock and "old school" yet changing the wheels.

The only reason I might consider it, is for the sleeper look.

The faster my car gets the more I want to make it look bone stock, even under the hood.

But its still pretty slow relatively speaking... The wilwoods are in the way though.

Hmm I wonder how close the factory wheels are to fitting...

Actually I think it's the exhaust that sets people off. People at the track don't believe me when I tell em how stock it is, at least motor-wise.

All the interior stuff I've done, I've tried to keep it as stock looking as possible. Hidden sub, hidden amp, factory speaker covers over aftermarket goods, hidden shift light and cooling fan switch. I'm not into the bling at all, and the rims are almost beyond me. Next mod should be the hidden nitrous bottle and switch. That'll finish this motor off.

I really like my '90 stock wheels.

Although at one time I was very strongly considering the purchase of a set of American Racing Torque Thrust II's, that won't be happening now. 2 engine rebuilds (the 1rst was purely performance related, the 2nd should have never happened) has caused me to determine that I'll not spend another dime unless its for maintenance (incudes preventative maintenance).

So I will keep my stock wheels on.

I like my wheels because I haven't found any other car with black chrome ZR1s. I also hate the turbine wheels as they make the car look very outdated.

Just my .02,

I'll keep the stock sawblades on my 92, but I like a lot of the new ones too.

I still have stock wheels on my 87 because:
I like the stock, sleeper look
They are in almost perfect condition
I am always broke and never seem to have the money.

The last reason is the main reason.

PM me if you buy some wheels and want to sell your original 84-85 rims.

I do like the sleeper idea...but Im thinkng a LS7 or LS2 engine in a Caprice.

Corvette sleeper...not gonna happen. If you can make it look like Rip Van Winkle...post away!

haha, and that's my old exhaust setup.
The FIRST mod I did to my vette was get the ZR1's on it because imho that's the best looking C4 wheel (or was in 00, before any companies made Y2K's for C4's)
Also, I think vette's should have vette wheels, no matter if they're from newer vettes.
BUT I do have my stock ugly wheels for when I'm hunting. :

My turbines are staying on, at least for the short term. Why?

1. Frugality: My 87 turbines are still in very good shape.

2. Comfort: I like the ride I'm getting out of the V-rated 50 series 16" tires, and they aren't wearing out anytime soon.

3. Laziness: If I put on an open look wheel, all the stuff underneath is going to need dressing up.

4. Anxiety: What if I change it and I don't like it?
