WELL PUT. I'M A 53 YEAR OLD WITH A 95 ARTIC WHITE/ RED LT1. I ALSO RIDE A HONA GOLDWING. TRY TO GET A HARLEY TO WAVE. :seeya
dude, people on harleys wave, thats the biggest brotherhood in the world. just not at gold wings. when i'm in the vette, I dont wave at hondas then either...do you ?
Whippeee doooo.....Nobody gives a shik about your "brand name clothes"or how "young" or "old" you are...ITS THE VETTE they are looking at... :smash:  but YOU, ARE sterotyping older vette owners...theres good and bad in every category of life... :yesnod: :yesnod:  :D
Oh yea...and whats this crap about "nasty YELLOW"? :smash:  :smash: :cuss :D
im 23 in college and i wear more name brand clothing then most people wear.
What does that have to do with owning a corvette?
My question exactly... an image seeker?.. who knows (or cares). Someone not returning your wave sure isn't worth getting your panties in a wad over. I wave at Corvettes all the time. Heck, I even wave at 'em when I'm in my truck or riding one of my bikes... some wave back, some don't. At least I know I did my part..
So, what's hot in men's clothes nowadays?... :seeya
"Corvette" is much more then a brand name. Corvettes are American icons, awlsome sports cars. Maybe you don't get it. These are awlsome machines made right here in the good old USA.
You forgot to include "family member"! At least that is how I feel about Arisa !!!!

I am glad I don't have to add more to this pointless post
23, in college.. you will see my friend in a few years how silly this is... In the mean time, enjoy your Vette !
BTW, I have about given up on waves... I have more of a chance in my area of getting a wave on my Honda M/C from a harlie rider :D
 *89x2*
I have an 86 it's nice a little needs to be done to it. Some older guys just look at me like must be nice to drive daddy's vette around. I'm 30 but look 25, it doesn't bother me anymore. I wave some times they do sometimes they don't. I get snubbed and sometimes i get a thumbs up. It just depends on who you meet.
I wave to every Corvette owner I see. I rarely, if ever, get a wave back from a C5 owner, but everyone else that sees me I get a wave from. Heck, when I am driving out in the country, EVERYBODY waves - foreign cars, beat up trucks, kids on bikes - you name it.

Corvette is a name brand, and some of us wear our corvettes as if they were an article of clothing.... uhhhh.. i mean some of us wear clothing that says "Corvette" on it, even if that is not the real brand name of the clothing we are wearing...ummmm..no, it's just that some people look inside your underwear elastic to see what brand you are wearing and judge you accordingly.... mine say FTL.... hmmmm... that's not it exactly, oh, never mind... MJ
My hubby's underwear even says CORVETTE. :p:
I get waved at all the time in my BMW Z3. Oh, a guy on a gold wing even pulled up next to me and waved one time. I wave back. Some people buy a CORVETTE (I noticed that it is the "correct" way of saying it) because it's a nice car, they never care to understand the true pleasure that a vette, I mean Corvette offers.
Enjoy the car. While you are young you will get that alot. We had problems, not from other vette-Corvette people but from Mustang drivers "Boy daddy sure has a nice car, nice for him to let you drive it." Oh well, we have a CORVETTE and you don't. We thought about getting a plate that said notdads.
Im just a car person. I wave back or talk nice to anyone who does the same. I get that snob stuff a lot im my Ferrari too, but im glad to talk to anyone that wants too even if they have a 49 studebaker. Ferrari and Porsche are deadly rivals like Ford and Chevy, but I have many friends who have Porsches. I just got my 86 Vette, painting it this weekend. I hope to make lots of new friends with it too. :seeya

I ditto that... have yet to get a "return wave" from a C5, the 3's & 4' return the wave 95% of the time.
(although I don't wear much brand name clothing ... what ever that means:confused:  )
Although by my standards I am quite young @43 :seeya :seeya
You need to remember, not every one that has a Corvette knows there is a Corvette Community out here. I'll bet most Vette owners walked into a showroom (used car lot), fell in love with the car and drove off. Unless they specifically look for a club (or internet site) they are perfectly happy in their own bubble and figure out everyone else is the same.
The one I bought was from a gentleman that has continually owned Corvettes since 1955. He didn't have a clue that there was a Vette Cult till I brought him into it.
I was a Harley owner and always waved at every bike owner and I think most bikers felt the same way. Its the brother hood that makes the wave mean something, not the people behind it. What I mean by this is, you wave out of respect for not only the owner, but the entire population of the group. I wave at every Corvette, not just the C4’s because I feel their all part of the group. Many of my friends are C5 owners and they value my wave and respect what I own. If someone will not wave back then they are NOT part of the group that we all feel a part of and value. Just everyone keep waving.. :D :D :D

Wow...people on Harleys with this attitude are just sooooo cool.
Harley Davidson is not the end all, be all of motorcycles. Nothing against them, but they aren't something that makes you special. I wave at lots of Harley guys all the time and get waves back. Motorcycle riders are the big brotherhood, not Harley riders. There are motorcycle riders that ride Harley's and they wave to anyone on a bike. When I went out this weekend sportbikes, Harleys, Gold Wings, and even a Gold Wing trike waved. People on them ranged from in their 20's to some guys who looked to be pushing 60. Cool is cool, but the attitude that a brand of motorcycle (or car) makes you special is not cool.
