Mr Dave...my post was meant as a tongue in cheek type of thing, not to offend. if it did I apologize. it's like the chevy - ford thing. it's just a good old fashioned rivalry, nothing to be taken overly seriously. I own a corvette and a ford truck. wasn't trying to be cool, just trying to have a little fun... :cheers:

his vette was not all that nice. ... it was a nasty yellow, he forgets that we are all vette owners, ... why do some older vette owners show no love for the younger vette owners?

I'm 58 and wave at every Corvette I see. At times I am in seventh heaven while driving and don't always see the other Corvette. The age of the driver is very difficult to determine when driving at highway speeds and it doesn't make any difference to me anyway. Save The Wave :seeya :seeya :seeya :flag

I'm one of the older guys you speak about and I take offense to the use of OLDER GUYS . I'm almost as old as dirt. Well, not really.... 53. I wave at everyone, even the people who don't have a vette, but smile at me and mine. I'm a happy guy who would wave at a vette parked in the lot of the local Walmart, just in case the owner is standing by watching me.

i didnt mean to make anyone really mad when i said older cause they are older then 30's. not saying old but older. i also dont mean that all people that are in the 60's are rude cause it not the case i am just saying about this one guy who is older that thinks he was too good to wave back and he saw my wave.. i was just mad about him. please no one get really upset about what i said...

As you have read, there are many jerks out there. However I would be willing to bet that anyone (particularly 30+ like me) that participates in this forum and goes to car shows, or is involved with his/her car will always wave back (if not initiate the wave). All others just have their cars as a cool mode of transportation and will never bother with that.

I think anyway,it had the coves in the side.The car looked cherry!!!

I've come to the conclusion that life is short ... we're all human beings ... no one's better than someone else because of what he wears or drives. But there are people that I classify as "Just enough money to be obnoxious" ... apparently you met one.
And by the way I bought my Corvette for me and my wife to enjoy ... it's my sanity maintenance and always puts a smile on my face, and if someone else like it great ... if not, such is life.
I just wish people would leave their attitude at home and act like a genuine person ... Just my 2 pennies ... and KEEP ON WAVING!

Us C5 people do wave. I don't know what you mean...it's you mean C4 jerks that don't wave at us snoby C5 people. (Kidding) We get about the same amount of waves from all years...the C2 and C1 do wave the most. Just go to Bowling Green once and you'll see that the wave ain't dead.

Serious, some drivers are a-holes, no matter what they drive. My area is pretty cool. I usually get about 85% wave-backs. Some guy even waved at me when I was working on my Jag in the driveway. Must've saw mine and my brother's 'vettes! That guy was cool. :cool: Frown-not, 'vette owners are the best circle people one can hope to be in. Enjoy! Don't forget to wave!

I'm over 55 and wave when I can. Don't let some jerk put you off --there are holes everywhere driving everything. I've been flipped off by clowns in old Novas, fo crying out loud!
