IMO..this forum is the best and has helped me on many occasions over the years. In turn I have assisted other members whenever possible. It's good that we are airing these concerns and by doing so ALL members should consider the individual comments made in these posts. We are a forum, with members from all walks of life, age, etc.all with at least one common value.....we love our vettes. Lets focus on that value going forward with a mind set that ALL members command respect and thoughtful responses to posts.
This is a great forum...!
I love the fact that a guy in Norway can talk to a guy in Texas about his Vette. So many of the typical social boundaries that we normally face are irrelevant here. Long live the forum !!

[QUOTE=tankman;1568725094Perhaps you are correct that some get "cranky" when an instant response is not forthcoming immediately,[/QUOTE]
I think just as aggravating are the members who don't acknowledge when a response is helpful. I've seen many posts that receive multiple replies but the OP never responds. I'm not suggesting the OP thank each response individually but a simple "thanks" at some point is always appreciated.
The Vette world has changed a huge amount since my first in1969! Then I had to nicely ask any knowledgable mechanic[tech] to learn about car! Not many could help with Rochester Injection. I still enjoy seeing the new owners get into the cars and people who like them! It is fortunate that as cars have become more complicated so has our ability to acess the info about them. Unfortunately often those with best technical ability are not always PR minded! A little patience will go a long ways and make the trip more enjoyable then a in-your-face confrontation!!! JHMO

On a last note though.........
I know we have a strict " no street racing " thing here. I don't post about it here. But please don't look down your nose at me if I speed. I don't complain about the tickets. Have I been doing this for quite a while? Yes I have. Do I know when and where I can get away with it? Yes sir. Is it illegal? Yes. So is removing your cats though. Not all of us "street racers" are evil and dangerous. Not all of us will go play in rush hour traffic. ( MODS>>> Please don't ban me for being honest)
I won't ban you, but I will inform you of a few things:
1) Yes, there is a strict "no kill stories" policy here, and it is not a street racing friendly site, so any mention of it is almost guaranteed to have a negative response from members and increased scrutiny from moderators. So my advice is to not bring it up AT ALL.
2) Removing your cats doesn't have the potential to injure or kill someone, so don't compare apples and oranges. Racing at a track is dangerous, so street racing is even more dangerous. And those who participate are putting themselves and others at great risk. Any attempt to justify it further would not be a good idea.
This thread has gone fairly well so far, so keep it friendly.
