Observing new members posts.
I have concluded that since the C4 Corvette has become very inexpensive to buy now, it has attracted a lot of younger (immature) buyers which have found their way onto this forum.
I just miss the respect and good attitude this forum used to have. Just something I've been observing and wanted to know if other older members have noticed the same.
Not bashing on all new members and to all the Great new members that have recently joined, Welcome!

I’ve seen some ridiculous responses on this forum to honest questions. Seems to be the same posters, over and over again. One of the things I question about Corvette Forum is the frequency of intervention of the C4 moderators.
Someone has to keep the quality of posts in check. Right now, it seems to be a free-for-all with high quantity, low quality. Obviously, this doesn’t apply to all posts/responses in the C4 section, there are plenty of knowledgeable members here that are courteous and informative; even if a questions is “entry level”. Not saying I can do a better job than the moderators, but a line has to be drawn somewhere.
It makes Corvette Forum as a whole look bad. What do the advertisers/sponsors think? Steering away future/current members is not in your investors best interest.

I can understand some members (including me) being put off by a new member whose first post is "Corvette for Sale" (immediately brings up thoughts of scam), but not everyone who buys a Corvette knows exactly what he's got of how to fix every problem. I have no doubt that potentially every conceivable problem with a C4 has been discussed at some time on this forum, but "do a search" really isn't an appropriate response to a new member's question.
just kidding
I have noticed almost like a high school rivalry thing, in how the more senior members respond to a new member, and then the new member puts on his defense game , I see it happen on both sides, But I have been getting info off this site long before this vette and long long before I ever joined, I can say that a lot of the the people I used to see I rarely see anymore, it seems like the community is not really smaller, but you are right like a new batch is in. I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS with anyone, and I have a great respect and thanks for the guys who take the time to hear my problems, and questions, then help me get soloutionsI have concluded that since the C4 Corvette has become very inexpensive to buy now, it has attracted a lot of younger (immature) buyers which have found their way onto this forum.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
They either run their C4's into the ground or a bridge...thereby thinning the herd and increasing the value of the survivors
Another problem is the same old questions, people need to use the search function

There are also some old members here that are rude, condencending or argumentative.
I know that anyone who's been a member here for a year or longer has seen the same questions over and over again. But everyone was new here once and a lot of us have asked those same questions. The "do a search" response to a post is just rude. If that's your answer to a post, then you shouldn't waste your time writing a response. Anyone who's used the search forums feature here knows that you don't always find the answer that you're looking for. There are several good people here who answer the same questions over and over again because they know what it's like to need help with something.

This is an informational site. If someone posts something rude to you who cares? The only way it should matter to you is if you value that persons opinion. Otherwise move on and ignore that post.
That said there is still a fair amount of information you can get here. I recently posted a question on tech and posted up the same on guru and digital. I got mostly the same responses from all sites. which just means that either all the same guys are on all the sites or that there are people on all them willing to help. sometimes we just need to weed thru the idiots.
