Sorry to hear that you had to let the Corvette go. Good luck on finding a comfortable sedan. If though your looking for something that is close to a Vette you should look into a Cadillac XLR. They are hand built right beside Corvettes in Bowling Green. A little pricey but much more "User Friendly."
Sorry to see it go, but I hope the new owner enjoys it. Sounds like exactly what I did: bought a black on black LT4 coupe, flew in, picked it up, and drove it back home half way across the country (Ohio to Texas). Where is the new owner from?

Absolutely beautiful car!
I told the Wife that if I were to sell the vette.........it would be done only to put money towards an XLR.
"This is the cool part. 5 months ago, my father who is 71 had open heart surgery. So after the surgery, I gave him the car & he used it for the past 5 months. I knew using the car would get him moving again. He had a hard time getting in and out of it, so he won't say he enjoyed it, but I know deep down inside he did. and I know the shifting, and sports car feel would do him good. He got me into this hobby, so I was happy to let him use the car."
I know just how you feel. I just lost my dad at 83' .. He was still working on Friday night his heart gave out. It has been awhile now, and I just fired my 86 up again .. it's been sitting in the garage. I am just glad it was there for me.
