Congratulations! Yes, the 84 is a much stiffer ride but that LT1 will make you happy.
Thanks all for the kind words. I think I'm really gonna like this car once I get the time to start sorting through the little stuff. I wouldn't mind keeping the 84, but I have a friend who is very interested in it and I will make him a special deal on it. He will take good care of it, and I will still have visitation rights.
Sooooo....my first priorities are to call Adam Boca and get it insured, get it over to Martin Tire and have a new set of hides put on it (and the wheels in the correct fender wells), and over to Huguleys for an alignment. It has two different size tires that correspond with the door placard, so I need to make sure the wider tires and rims wind up on the rear as well.
Thanks again for all of the encouragement and advice. You guys made this ol' dawg wag his tail...
Auto. I needed an auto for two reasons....first, so Mrs. Friz can drive it. She tried driving a manual once.....it wasn't pretty. Burning clutches don't smell good either.
Second, there's a lot of freeway construction going on in El Paso, and traffic jams are getting very common. Auto makes life much easier.
