Default OBX Headers

Well I finally broke down and bought a set of OBX headers from EBay for my 1985. Must say they are very nicely made and are even polished. Have not tried to install them yet but can't beat the price at $399.00. Shipping was a little steep at $75.00, but all in all a good deal. Will keep posted on the install

Keep us posted on your install.I need to Know how much room they have for the spark plugs.I have straight plugs and was wondering if they would work with the OBX's.

Will do. Have to buy some header bolts, that was the only thing that was not included.

Nice, it's good to see people getting a break on headers for these cars for once.

The $75 shipping for the older models compared to the $40 on the later kinda puts me off. I know for a fact it doesnt cost that much to ship. Still the overall price isnt bad. Keep us posted, I have an '85 as well.

Complaining about $75 for sub-$500 headers? Kinda hard to believe shipping is much less -- unless you have access to a volume account. Also, kinda hard to believe $399. Really hard to believe no one knows how to contact the seller of a closed auction vs posting here to find a status!

I would take the hit on the shipping for that price on headers. Sub 500 bucks is pretty much a "take the part and run" kinda thing in my book.

Great deal! Let's see some pics of them before the install!

Like I stated $75 shipping is not quoted anywhere on the website or ebay for the LT1 or the L98 headers to the lower 48, it only states a quote will be given for international shipping. The OBX headers are still there, the reason is they are selling like Hotcakes . The price of the product has no bearing on the price of shipping, tell me you never paid more for shipping then you did for the product ?

Anyone have any documented dyno results from these headers?

What does an LT1 C4 typically pick up in HP and TQ from headers on an otherwise unmodified car (other than mufflers and the SLP air intake kit.)?

Are the gains from headers on an otherwise unmodified LT1 noticable??

I don't have dyno results, but can offer 1/4 mile performance results. I took my 94 Corvette to the drag strip before and after installing OBX headers. Best time before headers was 13.824 @ 99.59 MPH. Best time after headers was 13.399 @ 103.70 MPH.

Thats what I want to here, my best time for my 95 is 13.6 without them so maybe I will see a 13.2.

Can you mate these up to the stock aluminum exhaust? Or does the rest of the exhaust now have to be stainless?
