Installation was not too bad. A little tough getting starfter wires back on. I used 1 " spacers to remount Alternator and air pump brackets. The spacer is the right size of the width of stock maanifolds. I also used a spacer to space out the dipsick bracket. Getting the dipsick tube out was a real pain. Old age had really got it stuck in the block. Headers do run close to the right rear spark plug wire so I put heat wrap around the tube near the boot. I am running Borla exhaust so I have the conversion y pipe which clamped right up to the headers. All in all I like the headers and the look pretty cool. Installing headers on the car was no worse than working on anything else on it. I think chevrolet had no feelings for the mechanic that had to work on it. Ha Ha. good luck with your install
I will likely be buying a system for my now 'historic' emissions free 87 at the Englishtown swap meet next weekend. But if that does no work out, I am strongly thinking about going with the OBX system. Have any of you guys noticed any pitting issues? I know it's stainless... but I figured I should ask. Also I take it this system must be welded?
