Mine would come and go from time to time. Take the dash out (do yourself a favor and drop the steering column first). The dash is not hard just a few screws holding it in. It will unplug from the wire harness, no cable, the whole thing unplugs. All I did was replace the bulbs that backlight the screen. The rest of the bulbs I took out one by one and re-seated them. Then I plugged it back in. It has worked fine ever since. Sounds like your is like mine and just needs to be re-seated or unplugged and replugged. I would start there.

Well that could be the plug that connects directly into the cluster its something like 32 pins, or maybe check the 5 amp fuses on the fuse box there are 2 one for lcd and 1 for logic circuitry.
Then there is the dreaded connectors to the CCM behind the dash or a bad lcd portion of cluster. good luck
also forgot to say that when it goes blank the orange parts stays lite i just looses al the display info
Thats not good. its the signal from the ccm or the logic fuse not lcd fuse. still be a loose connection on the connector pictured in the link. Might want to swap out a Known good display to see if its the display.
