Installed a new AC Delco Professional water pump in my '95 and it's already leaking out the weep hole after one day.

my oil pressure gauge has never worked. It only reads 80. I need to change over my front brakes to the J55 I bought from a member last year. Need to replace my antenna. It is at least in the down position. I went to a junk yard last week and discovered that the plastic piece going around the panel for gauges and the where the SES OPEN DOOR lights is one long piece across the whole dash. Mine is cracked where it screws into the dash pad. I took the bezel off and it looked like it was smaller than the bezel which I figured great easy fix. I could not have been more wrong. This thing is huge. I might just try to epoxy cement it so the crack is hidden. I don't know ? As soon as the screw goes through it I'm sure it will break again.

The antenna keeps getting stuck halfway up. No plans to work on it while there's snow on the ground. The radio is fine and I push the antenna by hand for now.

Floppy sun visors. Have new reproductions with stiffer interior already to go but its too cold to install/work in garage. Also have a big box of Rattle Trap sound deadening material but that means removing the entire interior of the car. Both of these are scheduled for early spring.

We have seen lot of reference to the C4 when people talk about the C7. More truth than I ever imagined. Pre delivery traded C6 for C7, still awaiting my order to be picked up by GM. Now I am operating my C4, while waiting. Reference the C4, heck it is a C4. I'm replacing tires this spring, older tires. With only 10,000 miles everything is operating perfectly. Could be late summer before C7 delivery, planning caravan to the Museum (C4 or C7?) a long wait indeed. I always liked the C4, my first introduction to the Corvette, have owned two; 1990 coupe and now 1995 convertible.

Below is my wants and needs list (not in any particular order)
1. Still need to find and stop an oil leak
2. Want to purchase and install new injectors
3. Want to add a subwoofer and mono amp to existing stereo
4. Need front tires balanced and if that doesnt work, need to determine and correct the front end wobble.
5. Need to repaint hood.
6. Interior lights have started to come on while driving. I've read this is related to weather. Hopefully so. We will see.

Trying to diagnose the reason/source of a fluctuating idle on my 88, happens on cold start up and more so when it warms up and (I assume) switches from open loop to closed loop.

On what seems to be that last somewhat warm day I can remember at the end of November 2013, I started her up and drove around a bit. Upon getting back I realized that a substantial amount of my trans fluid had leaked onto the carpet my garage floor. Dipstick shows hardly any fluid. The leak seems to be from an area below or a bit in front of the firewall area more toward the passenger side. I pushed the car into the garage as she was going away for the winter anyways. Had an intermittant drip spot once in awhile but nothing major before this.

On a side note - any thoughts from anyone on the potential souce or cost/time on a fix is appreciated. I know the first thing I have to do is clean up the underneath to locate the exact area that's leaking but have not done that yet due to lack of time and bad/cold weather. THanks.

my 90 was leaking like a sieve, mostly from the rear china wall, and valve covers. IMO, the previous repairs were not done properly, which led to one serious, oily mess that I'm trying to correct. still haven't figured out why the intake was pulled in the first place - I thought maybe a blown head gasket, but the heads, exhaust manifolds, etc, show no signs of have ever been removed. maybe the china wall had a previous leak. with the mess under the car, this thing has been leaking for years. anyway, I'm not happy with just the re-gasket thing, so I've been cleaning and detailing just about everything. on top of that, I'm going to rebuild or service, the fuel rails, new injectors, smog pump, radiator/shroud/fan motors, throttle body, egr valve, plugs, wires, distributor cap/rotor, radiator hoses, and a serpentine belt. I wasn't happy with, what appeared to be the installation of a new water pump, so I installed new gaskets. all brackets, the intake manifold, plenum, runners, etc, was bead blasted and chem filmed. I've also spent hours cleaning the mess under the car, including cleaning and repainting some frame members. I've been at this thing for a couple months now - kind of thinking I'm loosing my "mojo" for working on this thing. most likely, i'll be dickin' around with this thing for another month . the gasket on the automatic transmission pan also seems to be very wet, so i'll do a tranny service to re-gasket. if this thing is not bone dry when I'm done, I just may give up on the C4 thing. I'm 66, and don't seem to have the same enthusiasm I had 10 or 20 years ago. I just may move up to another C6 -

Clutch fork bent or pivot ball failing, either way the trans has to come out. At this age I might as well throw new things in that hole between the engine and trans. And we're off.............

Not sure what year you have but on a 94' the cooler lines, servo cover and the oil fill tube (dipstick) are in that area. To a lesser extent the electrical connector is also. A leak at the front seal or pump would most likely drain from the torque converter cover hole. Then there's the pan gasket. Course to get at something I'm finding out there's always something in the way.

I guess my problem is I'm always pulling something apart, like "Joe C" above, I'm digging deep into mine. Replacing and cleaning everything. I have oil leaks to fix and wires to repair. I got the engine harness on my basement floor and not one connector is labeled

There are some minor issues with my 96 auto, but in my case, I need to sell the car. My daughter started college which is costing me an arm and a leg. With just the wife and I, we have 4 cars.

On my 96:
1. I attempted to install a new antenna mast, but when retracted it still sticks up about 1/2 inch. After 3 attempts I gave up and just push the remainder down.
2. The cassette door is broken on the Bose. Not a big deal since I don't listen to music cassettes.
3. The AC work great, but it takes 2 minutes or so for the air to come through the top vents. The fix is to remove the module located on the firewall and fix the collapsing nipples, but haven't attempted to fix it since I'm a patient man and can wait the 2 minutes.
4. I noticed the shocks (F45) need new bushings.
5. There is a very minor oil leak, but nothing of concern. Probably one or two drops per trip.

And for any of you guys are interested, I have it posted in the 4 sale forum.

I have to further diagnose a rough running issue. Thinking it's at least fuel filter or pump. Too darn cold in the garage to even bother looking. Have to put carpet back in hatch after
stereo upgrade, and once again smell antifreeze like crazy but have yet to find the leak. Time for some UV dye.
