Time for new rear shocks on my 91 must be age as it only has 55k miles.
I had the same issue on my 96 w/Z51 package.
I found the rubber insulators were worn out and my shocks were moving side to side.
Got a great deal at AJ USA
Radiator leak... new radiator en route. Took two and a half hours just to get the upper housing off. Man, those three little screws on each side are a bear to get to. Can't wait to try and put them back in!
93 Vert, had for a year. Rebuilt both headlight motors, then rebuilt antenna motor and ribbon, then fixed headlight switch, dim to bright, then new tires, then to Dr. Don's for radio rebuild, need oil change and i guess i'm ready for Spring............
I have to further diagnose a rough running issue. Thinking it's at least fuel filter or pump. Too darn cold in the garage to even bother looking. Have to put carpet back in hatch after stereo upgrade, and once again smell antifreeze like crazy but have yet to find the leak. Time for some UV dye.
I've had that same coolant smell that was undetectable. I noticed however that it was more prevalent after the engine had been running for awhile.
What I found was where the cap (radiator) attaches to the expansion tank the neck would turn when removing or replacing the cap.
This is not supposed to move and will cause a coolant odor without showing any sign of a leak.
I purchased a NOS at a great price and will be installing soon.
I did double check it and since it's been so cold I tried to turn the cap and the neck didn't move. I then idled the engine to operating temp and tried to turn the cap and wa la the neck turned.
Just today while letting the car idle in garage it started running real rough. Backfired put exhaust very loudly and died. Tested for spark, and nothing. Started with the opti tests and everything looks fine there. I swapped out my MSD coil for the original 1993 coil and she fired back up immediately. I do have a heater hose leaking at the water pump also.
