Thanks for all the input guys! I'll be getting my brake stuff from Rock Auto in the next couple days, and I'll see if I can order the tires soon thereafter. In between I probably will only drive the car enough to keep the battery alive (thanks pnw spring...).

rfn206: great links! I did not know about the prep work required, so I'll be sure to do that.

I think everyone overlooked the FIRST thing he should do...take the wife to the nearest jewelery/furniture/appliance store and say pick out what you like. After that you're good as gold....but hide the receipts to be safe !!

N227GB, I need to investigate what all I need to replace. At this point all I know is that the bolt is missing. Is there some sort of retainer holding it in? I haven't seen that for sale on zip or ecklers. Should I just replace the whole bracket? It's raining for the next week, so I'll see if I can take the bracket apart in the next couple of days.
600 bucks for a set of tires doesn't seem bad. When I had to replace the tires on my T-Bird TC, it burned a $2k hole in my wallet. And that was 1987 dollars. At least the cool thing was, at the time, the TC and C4 were the only production cars that came with gatorbacks.

I'll swing by the airport tomorrow afternoon and pull the targa parts I have off the pallet rack. Off the top of my head I don't recall what keeps it retained in the housing.

For brakes, did you go with the Powerstop Z23 4 wheel kit? What size tire do you plan on using? I have some Sumitono's on my 94 coupe, not a bad tire and not pricey, I don't need the Goodyears for big$, I'm not road racing, just cruising and some spirited driving on dry roads.

Looked everywhere I could think of, but couldn't find the bolts. I did find the two cracked thin pieces of plastic trim that cover the bracket; they're very fragile so use caution when removing them.

Thanks for looking! I ended up tearing it all apart yesterday and taking the working bracket to HD to find a matching bolt. After 35 minutes of searching and comparing I found one, and it works great!
My plastic trim panel was already cracked on both sides thanks PO...

A_Peter_C4, I ended up just ordering the ACDelco Advantage rotors from Rock Auto as I already had the pads.
