Sorry Guys but after spending 10 years working at a new car dealership and personal problems. GoodYear? Not on my lawn mower :nonod Michelin's are my tire of choice. Could never get GoodYear to stand behind their tire. Never a tire problem. Bent rim, alignment, bearings, inflation. Never the tire.
Anything but the tire. Just my .02. :seeya
1. french company
2. they REALLY gave ferrari a hard time last year in F1
3. there are tires just as good for less $
Kumho's are my choice. Good performance, low price and long lasting.
1. French company? You don't like the French?
A friend bought a new Ford van with OEM Michleins and the sidewall blew out a 70 mph taking the 1/4 panel out with it.
Sidewall failures are common with Michelin in thier truck tires.
Thier car tires are excellent. Best tire I've ever owned. 50,000 miles easy.
Kumhos, I have them on the Corvette and the Lincoln LS.
Can't beat them for the money.
May try the Kumho's next. Keep hearing good things from Forum members about them. Anything but GoodYears! :smash: :smash: Anyone know if they make a good SUV tire. D#$% Goodyears from the factory. Want something better all around
I've opted to go with the GS-D3's when I get new tires this spring sometime. I've seen lots of good feedback on them. Anything will be better than whats on there now :nonod:
Goodyears:
Ive had them on a Explorer and they were terrible.
I have them on Tauras and they have runied the car. Noisy, rough ridding and they still have 75% of tread left.
Did a search on the net for Goodyears and most folks hate the Augatread.
Bad tire.
My other car has factory Firestones and one has a bubble in the tread?
Currently I'm using Michelins, Goodyear, Kuhmos, Firestones, and Toyos.
Goodyears are really loud the car sounds like its got off road tires.
Michelins no complaint.
Kuhmos no complaint.
Toyos no complaint.
Firestones tread separation.
As soon as the Goodyears were out I'll install Kuhmos.
